Ever wondered what your dog gets up to while youāre away? At Canine & Co, every day is thoughtfully structured to balance play, rest, enrichment, and cuddles, so your pup feels happy, safe, and fulfilled while you enjoy your holiday.
Hereās a little peek into a typical day in the life of one of our boarding guests:
š 7:00am = Wake Up & Morning Play
Our days start bright and early with toilet breaks and playtime before breakfast.
For our big dogs, mornings begin with a toilet break and a run around on their own to stretch their legs. Theyāll then head back inside for breakfast and a short rest to allow everything to settle before heading out again for more play or enrichment time.
Our social small dogsĀ start their day a little differently. They head straight out for a few hours of social time! Playing with friends, snoozing on the couch, or watching a bit of morning TV. Breakfast comes later, around 10am, so no one is running around on a full tummy (which helps prevent upset tummies).
š 11:00amā2:00pm = Midday Rest & Recharge
After a busy morning, itās time for some well-earned downtime. Most dogs tire themselves out during their morning adventures, so this midday rest is essential.
During this time, everyone heads back to their cosy kennels with comfy beds, fresh water, toys, and treats. It also gives them a break from the midday heat and ensures theyāre rested and refreshed for the afternoon ahead.
š¤ļø 2:00pm = Afternoon Fun Begins
This is when the excitement kicks off again!
Our small dogsĀ return to their paddock, which includes grassy areas, trees, a paddling pool, and a cosy indoor space for those who prefer to relax.
We thoughtfully divide them into three groups:
Our boisterous crew: Playful pups and energetic dogs who love to wrestle and zoom around.
Our cosy crew: Often older or calmer dogs who prefer lounging in the sunshine.
A separate quiet areaĀ for dogs who enjoy their own space and one-on-one time.
For our big dogs, afternoons are spent rotating through our eight large grassy paddocks. Whether they prefer sniffing, exploring, playing with friends, or chasing toys, each dog gets a mix of outdoor adventures and quiet indoor breaks. Our goal is always the same: happy, fulfilled dogs who feel like theyāre on their own little holiday.
š 6:00ā7:00pm = Dinner & Wind Down
As the day winds down, itās dinner time. Dogs are fed and settled back into their cosy kennels with blankets, toys, and enrichment treats like frozen Kongs.
After a full day of play, most pups are happily exhausted and ready to snuggle in for the evening.
Our team makes the rounds with final cuddles and goodnight pats before everyone drifts off to sleep.
At Canine & Co, we love ending each day with tired, content dogs whoāve had plenty of exercise, social time, and care. Every pup is treated like family, and we work hard to make their stay as fun and comfortable as possible.
So while youāre away relaxing, rest assured your dog is enjoying their own adventure with us š¶š
